What is the New Exam Pattern of NABARD Grade A 2022. NABARD Grade A 2021 Recruitment Notification had made some major changes in Educational Qualification, Exam Pattern of Prelim and Mains, Syllabus and Interview. Many websites on Internet are still showing content related to Old Pattern. In this Article we will understand what has changed in the latest Pattern of NABARD Grade A Exam.

Major Changes in NABARD Grade A 2022

Test of Reasoning, English Language, Computer Knowledge, Quantitative Aptitude, Decision Making have been made qualifying in nature in NABARD Grade A Prelim Exam

Previously Paper II in Mains exam used to be Objective with carrying 100 marks each (There used to be 35 - 2 Marker Questions and 30 - 1 Marker Questions) but in the new pattern they have introduced answer writing for 50–50 marks in both the paper.

Note:- Pattern of Descriptive Writing was such that there were 3 Questions each for 15 Marks and 10 Marks Section (Total - 6 Questions), In that One question was mandatory in both the section and Option was given between remaining two questions only which was not the case in RBI Grade B 2021, where you had option to write any 2 out of 3 questions from 15 marker and 10 marker sections.

Previously NABARD Grade A Interview was of Only 25 Marks but in NABARD Grade A 2021 it had been increased to 50 Marks which increase the weightage of Interview in Final Selection of Candidate.

What is the New Exam Pattern of NABARD Grade A Exam 2021

NABARD Grade A : Change in Educational Qualification

Previously it required only 55% in graduation for Gen/EWS/OBC category but with the new change in NABARD Grade A Exam 2021, these category students need 60% across the various post to be eligible to fill the form.

General : Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks (SC/ST/PWBD applicants - 55%) in aggregate OR Post Graduate degree, MBA/PGDM with a minimum of 55% marks (SC/ST/PWBD applicants - 50%) in aggregate OR CA/ CS/ICWA OR Ph.D from Institutions recognized by GOI/UGC .


NABARD Grade A Exam : New Exam Pattern

Changes in Prelim Exam 
  • Qualifying Section - Test of Reasoning, English Language, Computer Knowledge, Quantitative Aptitude, Decision Making
  • Merit Section - General Awareness, Eco & Soc. Issues (with focus on Rural India), Agriculture & Rural Development with Emphasis on Rural India.
  • Shortlisting of the candidates for the Main exam will be based on marks scored in the Merit section only.
Changes in Mains Exam 

  • For Paper II, there will be 30 questions and 50 marks for Objective questions (some questions carrying 2 marks each and some carrying 1 mark each).
  • In case of Descriptive questions, 6 questions will be asked, of which candidates will be required to attempt 4 questions (2 of 15 marks each (with difficulty level) and 2 of 10 marks each).
  • In case, candidate answers more than 4 questions in descriptive, first 4 shall be evaluated.
