The blueprint
Answer Writing Framework
A high scoring answer follows a fixed skeleton: a short defined introduction, a body built on sub-headings that mirror the question, and a reflective conclusion. The word budget below keeps you disciplined, and the two lenses give you a ready set of dimensions to think in.
Introduction10 to 12 percent, about 60 to 80 words
Define the topic clearly and mention key background, scope and related aspects.
Add relevant facts and data from RBI, NABARD, Economic Survey, PIB, or global reports.
Give recent context: why the topic matters now, and current developments or challenges.
End with a connecting line that names what the body will discuss.
Body75 to 80 percent, about 440 to 480 words
Start directly with sub-headings that address the micro-parts of the question.
Cover the standard dimensions: importance, pillars or key elements, objectives or significance, drawbacks or challenges, government initiatives, and suggestions or way forward.
Write four to five short points under each sub-heading rather than two or three long paragraphs.
Explain and give examples; do not simply list functions or challenges.
Keep sub-headings balanced, and move in a logical flow from general to specific and problem to solution.
Conclusion10 to 12 percent, about 60 to 80 words
Briefly consolidate the main argument without repeating the body.
Offer a positive, balanced outlook.
Link to national goals or SDGs such as inclusive growth, Atmanirbhar Bharat, or Viksit Bharat.
End with a strong, forward-looking statement that leaves a lasting impression.
